VYPE: What grade are you currently in and how long have you been playing softball?
Jayden Jenkins: I am currently a junior and I have been playing softball since I was four years old.
VYPE: What makes being a student athlete at Mannford special to you?
JJ: Being able to play with people that I have grown up with and have known for years.
VYPE: What opponent do you look forward to playing this season?
JJ: I always like to play and beat Bristow.
VYPE: What is your mindset at the plate?
JJ: Be aggressive but also be smart.
VYPE: Who is the loudest teammate in the dugout?
JJ: Angie! She is a senior so we will really miss her next year.
VYPE: What do you love most about your teammates?
JJ: We just love to go out and compete while having a lot of fun.
VYPE: What position do you play and what position would you like to play?
JJ: I play catcher and I think it would be fun to be a pitcher even though I can’t pitch at all!
VYPE: Name three people you would want with you in a zombie apocalypse.
JJ: My dad, my grandad, he was a Boy Scout, and my Papa.
VYPE: What are your plans for after you graduate?
JJ: I would like to play softball in college.
