2025 Drumright Tornados – Softball Preview – Presented by RCB Bank

The Drumright Fast Pitch Softball team is gearing up for an exciting 2025 season following a 9-14 record in 2024. Under the leadership of Head Coach Lezli Robinson, now entering another year at the helm, the team is embracing its youth and the progress made in recent months. “We are extremely young with freshmen and sophomores, but we saw tremendous growth last fall and this summer,” Coach Robinson said. “We have a bright future for the fall.”

The Tornados will lean heavily on their experienced seniors to guide the young squad. Senior pitcher Evie Ools is a standout leader who has developed significantly over her high school career, honing her command and location on the mound to become a reliable force for Drumright.

On the defensive side, Alyssa Roe provides excellent speed and solid contact at the plate from the left side. Her agility and glove work make her a key player at both third base and shortstop.

Drumright will be without standout first baseman Paizley Christy, who has not yet been released to compete after surgery. Stepping in to take her place at first base will be sophomore Aubree Brimmer.

Sophomore Kaiton Vann is a versatile utility player who brings depth to the roster. Kaiton pitches as well as plays shortstop and third base, offering a strong bat and impressive arm strength to support the team on both offense and defense.

The Tornados also benefit from the unyielding work ethic and positivity of players like sophomore Aubrie Allen, often described as the hardest worker on the field and a great teammate, and Willow Mattox, known for giving her all every time she steps on the field.

While the team’s youth presents challenges, the determination and growth displayed by these players promise an exciting season ahead. Drumright softball fans can look forward to a team that’s building toward sustained success as these young athletes continue to develop their skills and team chemistry.
