CLEVELAND TIGERS
BOYS
Coach: Daniel Brimmer
10-16
Cleveland will be led in 2023-24 by VYPE Top 100 nominee Dray Curtis, a 5-foot-7 senior guard, who averaged 10 points as a junior. “He can score in a hurry despite his small stature,” said Cleveland head coach Daniel Brimmer, who guided the Tigers to a 10-16 mark last season. “He’s a small guard who will be ready to take over as our leader. He had a great summer. Great shooter and can get to the rim and finish.
He has a chance to score a ton of points this year.” The Tigers also have senior point guard Cody Sizemore back. Sizemore averaged six points and led the team with six assists as a junior. “Cody is a tough get-to-the-rim player who loves passing the ball,” Brimmer said. Broc Decou (5-9, SG, Sr.), Kyer Tull (5-8, SG, Sr.) and Max Braswell (5-10, SG, Sr.) will also be factors in the Tigers’ backcourt. “They will look to help out the guards in much-improved play and opportunity,” Brimmer said. Leaders in the frontcourt will be Leo Higgins (6-3, So.) and Tyler Kelsey (6-5, So.). “Our size is young,” Brimmer said. “We will have to grow up fast. We will have to defend folks and look to score in the full court.”
