Q&A with Mannford’s Adrianna Eaton – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by Rib Crib

Mannford athlete Adrianna Easton spoke with VYPE recently.

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
My personal goals for the year are to keep my grades at all A’s, improve myself in any possible way, and to make this senior year of soccer my best year yet.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
The most fun I have had in the past year has definitely been going on multiple trips with educational talent search and touring colleges with them and also spending time with my friends and family.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
My favorite teacher was my band teacher Mr. Hix who taught me from middle school up to junior year in High school. He is my favorite teacher because his teaching helped me become more passionate about music and to learn how to have fun with it.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
My favorite athletic memory was when I scored a goal from the 45 yard line my sophomore year of varsity soccer. I just loved the feeling of the whole crowd cheering me on and how I felt so energized after I made that shot.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
The teammate who left the biggest impression on me was probably a girl named Katie, she was one of the upperclassmen when I was a freshman in soccer and she taught me a lot of important things about becoming a skilled defender.

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
My favorite part about being on my soccer team is how close everyone is to each other. We know win or lose that we are still going to be proud of each other and know that that every single person left it out on the field that day and tried their hardest.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
For a summer vacation I would definitely want to go to the west coast of Italy and look at all the beautiful buildings and spend hours on the Sardinian beaches relaxing. I would take my boyfriend and pretty much my whole family if I could!

VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
If I was given $500 I would spend it on a little one day road trip with my family down to Eureka or Siloam Springs and go have a fun day just exploring.

VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?
I don’t actively participate in much community service at the moment, but in the past I have helped do yard work for some of the older residents in my community. I do help my church I attend with helping check in guests also.

VYPE: Are you involved in academic excellence activities such as the National Honor Society, Student Council, or other academic clubs?
I am involved in National Honor Society, and Educational Talent Search.
