Q & A with Mannford’s James Elliott – Presented by Indian Electric Cooperative Inc

Mannford athlete James Elliott gave an interview with VYPE.

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?

I Feel everyone should aim to improve their wrestling through the year, but at the end of the day, I’m chasing a state title.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

My favorite athletic memory has to be winning the Tulsa 7 conference tournament last year.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Ethan Rowlan has definitely been the biggest factor in my wrestling journey, he was the first drilling partner to push me and grow my love of the sport, and even now he still occasionally comes into the wrestling room and practices with me.

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?

This teams really like a family.

VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?

I occasionally help coach at Mannfords youth wrestling practices.

VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?

I’m on Mannfords football and wrestling team.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

I’m gonna answer two questions at once and say the best peice of advice and also the best thing this sport has taught me is that hard work is the only way to get anything accomplished.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

I’m not as much inspired by a person as much as the opportunity to be manndords first state champion.
