VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?
Ava: I am a sophomore at Cushing High School where I play softball.
VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?
Ava: I’m most proud of overcoming my fear of stepping up as a leader for the teams I’ve played for.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?
Ava: Just being able to represent Cushing and showing young athletes that even when you go through things that are a struggle. You can still make it possible to be great in the sport you play or class you’re in.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?
Ava: Brooklyn Williams is always trying new things and she is very encouraging.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
Ava: Jocelyn Alo because she’s a great hitter and she is very disciplined.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?
Ava: My favorite teacher is Roscoe Neal. He was my geometry teacher in my sophomore year. He is my favorite teacher because he’s taught a lot about math and he makes sure I’m always understanding.
VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?
Ava: My favorite meal is steak and rice.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Ava: I want to go to Cabo in Mexico and I want to take Brooklyn and my family with me.

Ava: I want to say thank you to my mom and my old travel ball coach and my grandparents for helping out when mom couldn’t. I love you all! Most of all thank you to the Good Lord for making anything possible.
