Although she has a lot on her plate, she maintains a 4.0 GPA and is part of the National Honor Society.

On the playing field, Anna is an excellent cheerleader and golfer. “I wanted to be a positive image for my school,” said Anna about her main reason to pursue cheerleading. She believes that cheerleaders are the epitome of a positive image for schools and she is proud to be one for Chandler. For Anna, golf has been instilled in her from birth. “My family is a golf family” said Anna. Her grandmother was on the Board of the Women’s Golf Association and is a big reason why golf is a family tradition. “I enjoy golf because it is a sport where your mental toughness is more of a challenge than physical,” said Anna about why she loves golf.

Role models and motivation tie together in making Anna the competitor and hard worker that she is. She has had numerous role models but a few that stood out to her are her coach Randee Gray, her pastors Craig and Amy Groschel, and her drama teacher Inda Jo Conway. They have all had a positive effect on Anna’s life and are very encouraging and helpful whenever Anna is in need.

Although school and sports are a big part of Anna’s life, her family and faith always come first. Anna has a very supportive family that she is extremely thankful for. Her parents, sister, and grandparents are all positive influences and push her to be the best she can be. Faith is also a major part of Anna’s life. She is a very devoted Christian and acts as a greeter for her home church. “Everything I have achieved or will achieve in this life, I give God all the glory,” said Anna. She pushes herself to take on life in a walk of faith every day.

In the future Anna hopes to pursue a degree in elementary education or speech pathology at Oklahoma State. She feels  her calling is to work with children and she wants to make a career out of it. Anna has learned countless lessons and skills that will help her succeed in life and be happy.
