The Chandler Lions cheer squad continues to embody school spirit and community pride under head coach Cynthis Snider, whose leadership emphasizes hard work, teamwork, and giving back. “The Lions cheerleaders are currently working hard to prepare for football games and Gameday competition,” said Snider. “They practice about eight hours a week along with planning assemblies, attending games, and working with various community service projects during the year.”

This season, the Lions have set ambitious goals not only for performance but also for impact beyond the sidelines. “Raising money for the American Cancer Society is a goal of the team,” Snider explained. “We have a goal to try and donate $2,000 to ACS. We currently raised over $1,200 at our Pink Out football game.” The team’s dedication to community involvement reflects their heart for service and the leadership values coach Snider instills in her athletes.

Among the talented roster, Tenley Tyler stands out. “She is a worker that never gives up,” Snider said. Tenley’s relentless attitude and strong work ethic set the tone for the entire squad, earning her respect from both coaches and teammates.

A rising name to watch is Layla Gilpatrick, who has quickly made her mark as an energetic and enthusiastic presence on the team. “Layla has so much spunk and energy when she cheers,” Snider said. Her vibrant personality and contagious enthusiasm help elevate the spirit of both her teammates and the crowd on game days.

Representing the heart and integrity of the program is Royanna Berry. “Royanna is a self-motivated cheerleader that is inclusive of all,” Snider said. Her kindness, leadership, and ability to bring everyone together make her a role model for the team.

As the Lions continue to refine their routines and prepare for upcoming competitions, coach Snider sees a group of athletes deeply committed to improvement and unity. “Many of our girls have their sights on cheering in college,” she said. “So, working skills is an important focus we continue to improve on each day.”

With unwavering determination, contagious energy, and a shared passion for representing Chandler with pride, the Lions cheer team is poised for another standout season both on the sidelines and in the community.
