BRISTOW PIRATES
Coach: BILLY SEXTON
3-7
After finishing 3-7 a season ago, Bristow believes its record did not fully reflect how competitive the Pirates were throughout the 2025 campaign. Four losses came by a combined 10 points, leaving head coach Billy Sexton confident his team is much closer to breaking through than the standings suggested. Now entering his second season leading the program, Sexton has seen the biggest difference in the offseason, when Bristow completed a full strength-and-conditioning program for the first time in three years. With improved continuity on the coaching staff and nearly every key skill-position player returning, the Pirates expect those offseason gains to translate into more success in close games this fall.

Offensively, Bristow will continue to operate from a multiple-spread system designed to stretch defenses across the entire field through formations, tempo, and motion. The Pirates return an experienced group of playmakers capable of attacking all areas of the field and keeping defenders off-balance. Along the offensive line, Bristow brings back a physical unit led by juniors Grahm Streater (6-4, 283) and Tyler Kent (6-3, 275), while senior Zander-Dickson Reese (6-3, 310) adds valuable size and experience in the trenches. Their ability to control the line of scrimmage should help establish both the run game and pass protection, giving the offense a solid foundation.
Defensively, the Pirates return eight starters in a multiple-front scheme centered on pursuit, discipline, and creating turnovers. Junior linebacker Mack Powell (5-9, 185) anchors the defense after recording 108 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, six sacks, and a 93-yard fumble return touchdown last season. Junior linebacker Landen Haskins (5-10, 205), senior defensive end Hudson Claggett (5-11, 235), and senior linebacker Dmarri McGee (5-9, 185) also return as experienced contributors at all three levels. Combined with strong leadership, program stability, and a promising younger group led by Ross Powell, Bristow enters 2026 expecting to take a major step forward.
