BRISTOW PIRATES
Coach: BILLY SEXTON
7-5
Offense
The Bristow Pirates are heading into the 2025 season with momentum and a renewed sense of identity under second-year head coach Billy Sexton. With coaching continuity and a roster filled with returning contributors, the Pirates look to turn experience into results. Sexton’s emphasis on stability, culture, and leadership from within has created an environment where players know their roles and are ready to elevate the program’s success. A strong summer has set the stage for what could be a breakout year. The Pirates’ offense will feature dynamic junior Promised Johnson at the helm. A true dual-threat quarterback, Johnson passed for 611 yards and 5 touchdowns while rushing for 588 yards and 7 scores last season. His ability to make plays through the air and on the ground makes him the focal point of Bristow’s offensive attack. His offseason gains in strength and speed make him even more dangerous this year. Veteran quarterback Bryce McNac provides valuable depth and experience, giving the Pirates multiple options behind center. Out wide, receivers Javon Freeman and Will Remington bring reliable hands and field awareness. Bristow’s offensive front is anchored by sophomore standout Grahm Streater, a 6’4″, 285-pound lineman who started as a freshman and is quickly gaining attention from college recruiters. Senior lineman Chris Doremus adds size and toughness up front, making the Pirates formidable in the trenches.

Defense
Defensively, Bristow will rely on senior leaders to set the tone. Linemen Marley Branscum and Chris Rolland bring physicality to the defensive front, while linebacker Cain Clay provides experience and leadership in the middle. Sophomore Mack Powell adds youth and energy at linebacker and tight end, showing promise on both sides of the ball. The secondary is fast and athletic, led by juniors TJ Wilson and Dmarri McGee. Johnson will also play in the defensive backfield, bringing his instincts and physical tools to both sides of the game. With a blend of size, speed, and experience, the Bristow defense has the tools to compete at a high level and help the Pirates push for a deep playoff run.
