MANNFORD PIRATES

BOYS

Coach: Mike Banfield

23-24 Record: 14-13

The Mannford Pirates are ready to build off of last season’s successes and hope to make a run in the postseason. Head coach Mike Banfield’s squad has a lot of familiar faces that he thinks will play a big role this season. “We have a good returning nucleus from last year’s team. We only lost one senior, so we should have a good group of returning starters and players that came off the bench for us this past season.” A three year starter for the Pirates, Mason Harvey (5-10, Sr.) is a kid that can bounce it and shoot it and is a very unselfish player. He is really quick off the bounce and has good body control. He averaged 10 points, three assists, and three rebounds last year and looks to have a big senior year. Jaiden Egger (5-8, Sr.) was the team’s starting point guard last season and shot over 40% from behind the three-point line. He is a great competitor and has a really good basketball IQ. Logan Bynum (6-2, So.) had a great second half of the season last year and looks to carry that momentum into this new season. He is athletic and has good size for a guard. Other Pirates to watch for this season are Logan Bynum (6-2, So.), Max Moore (6-3, Jr.), Taven Fentress (6-4, Sr.), Spencer Norman (6-1, Sr.), Boone Hodson (5-11, Sr.), Hank Shasteen (6-0, Sr.), Cooper Ausbern (6-2, Jr.), JJ Hindsman (5-10, So.), Louis Perodeau (5-10, So.), Ben Shasteen (5-9, So.), Axl Spess (6-1, So.), Doug Tingley (6-0, So.), and Dononvan Hammons (6-1, So.).
